Gynecologic Cancers in Istanbul
Istanbul JCI centers treat all gynecologic cancers: cervical, endometrial (uterine), ovarian, vulvar, and vaginal cancers using the latest surgical, radiation, and systemic therapy approaches.
Cervical Cancer
Stage IB-IIB: radical hysterectomy (robotic da Vinci) or concurrent cisplatin + IMRT/brachytherapy. Locally advanced: chemoradiation with brachytherapy boost (EQD2 ≥85 Gy).
Ovarian Cancer
Primary debulking surgery + carboplatin/paclitaxel. BRCA1/2 positive: olaparib (Lynparza) maintenance. Second-line: bevacizumab, niraparib, rucaparib.
Endometrial Cancer
Stage I-II: robotic hysterectomy + bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Advanced/recurrent: dostarlimab (MMR-d/MSI-H), lenvatinib + pembrolizumab. Brachytherapy for vaginal cuff.
High-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy for cervical and endometrial cancer — essential component of curative radiotherapy, available at all major centers.
