Cervical Cancer Treatment in Istanbul

Treatment by Stage
- Stage IA1-IB1: Radical hysterectomy (Type C, nerve-sparing) + sentinel lymph node mapping. Fertility-sparing trachelectomy for selected patients
- Stage IB2-IIA: Either radical surgery or concurrent chemoradiotherapy (cisplatin+IMRT+brachytherapy) — equivalent outcomes
- Stage IIB-IVA: Concurrent cisplatin-IMRT + intracavitary brachytherapy. Addition of bevacizumab improves OS
- Stage IVB/recurrent: Pembrolizumab (PD-L1 CPS≥1, KEYNOTE-826: 24% reduction in mortality)

HPV vaccination (Gardasil-9) prevents 90%+ of cervical cancers. Istanbul centers offer comprehensive HPV vaccination programs alongside treatment.
